Reality check

In the PRoF project, each partner screened its industry for interesting opportunities. Each participant tried to identify value opportunities that fitted the larger scope of the project.

One of the value opportunities that presented itself was increasing the efficiency of patient rooms. Their lack of efficiency was often due to the overload of administrative work for nurses. This was a great concern for healthcare representatives too. While the healthcare partners within the PRoF project had the power and the know-how regarding healthcare regulations, the industry partners were experienced innovators and problem-solvers. In other words: these two parties were complementary. Each partner clarified his concerns and potential value opportunities towards the other. All of this resulted in a well-formulated challenge, namely to improve the efficiency of the patient room.
