The homecare market is difficult to enter due to its complex regulatory nature. This is why Jan Van Hecke wanted to team up with actors who were familiar with the legal specificities of this market.

Jan wanted his partners to help him overcome this barrier. Therefore, he only went after those actors who could weigh in on the decision-making process in the healthcare industry. Jan organized a small get-together with the people that could be relevant and that showed an interest in addressing the challenge. This group included two manufacturers, a Philips representative, an architect, the manager of the Urology department of Ghent University Hospital, the president of the union of Flemish nurses, and the president of VDTV. Jan also allowed five interested students to join.
